Nebida loop: Punta Speranza and the sea ridges
Hiking (E) · Loop
This route was designed by our AI planner (Claude (sessione 11/09/2026)) on OpenStreetMap paths and has not been walked by us. Waypoints: Nebida → Punta Speranza → Punta Manna di Nèbida → Punta Rubicina → Monte Trubixedda. Check it against a current map and local advice before you go.
Nebida is the mining village on the coast a quarter of an hour from Iglesias, and this loop climbs the ridges overlooking the Pan di Zucchero sea stack. You ascend to Punta Speranza and follow the crest to Punta Manna di Nèbida, the high point of the day, with views over the cliffs and Masua.
The return runs over Punta Rubicina and Monte Trubixedda and drops back to the village. Paths run through Mediterranean scrub, often narrow and stony, with no shade or water: this is a spring or autumn outing. Old miners’ tracks cross the route, so keep the GPX on your phone and check the waymarks locally.
The start is 8.6 km from the centre: stay in Iglesias and you can be on the trail early.
Median price for one night (25 September, 1 adult) among 20 places to stay within 15 km: 66 €. These cost less and are rated at least 4/5.
